Pricing FAQ
Why do fence prices vary so much on Long Island?
Three factors drive the most variation: material grade (cheap single-wall vinyl vs. heavy-gauge triple-wall), post depth (deeper = more labor + concrete), and terrain complexity (hills, tree roots, rock ledge). The estimates below assume mid-grade to quality materials and standard Long Island sandy-loam terrain.
Are your prices per linear foot or total project?
We quote total project price — including materials, labor, permit, post concrete, and cleanup. We also give you the per-linear-foot breakdown so you can compare apples to apples with other quotes. Be careful comparing per-foot quotes if one includes permit and one doesn't.
Does the price include the permit?
Yes. Our estimates always include the permit fee and our time to file it. We pull permits as part of every job in Nassau and Suffolk County.
How accurate are these price ranges?
These ranges represent actual installed prices for standard Long Island residential jobs in 2025–2026. Complex terrain, premium materials, or specialty gate hardware can push above the high end. The low end assumes a straightforward lot with normal post spacing.
